Crazy Kids!

Thank you all, sisters for your concern about my lovely kitty, Mohalebeya.  She is doing much better today, alhumdullah, but it was a heart breaking ordeal.

If you are a member of the VIP Lounge, you would have heard about the difficulties I was having with my crew.  Unable to tolerate all the kitty porn, I had to take my Princess to the vet to be "fixed" as they say.

In all honesty I would have loved to allow them to mate, but did you know, one kitty couple can have 3-5 litters of 1-8 babies, per year!?  Cairo is heavily overpopulated as it is, even on the stray animal front, and I can hardly afford the three I have already.  Besides that, the two crazy kids getting it on was making "Gramps" Shaban act in a way I didn't think cats could!  In order to maintain the harmony and sanity of our household I had to have her neutered.  And boy, did I feel like the biggest turd for doing so.  It took everything I had to hold back my tears in the vet.  At home, however, it was a much different story.

Hali slept the whole day and night, trying to get up a few times, only to fall over.  She was very sick, throwing up and dry heaving.  Her play-mate had left her in the cold, because she smelled funny (coming from the vet.)  Basically she laid on the floor near to the heater, and hardly moved.  This morning I have seen her clean up her wounds - as her fur is white, and the blood has spilled from surgery.  She walks around tentatively, but there is a "hole" where her uterus was.  She is not eating, but is drinking and purring when I pet her.

She is making progress alhumdullah.  Still sleeping a lot, but on the mend in shaa Allah, and thank you all for your love and concern.  I, too, am feeling less like a turd today, but I have done a lot of research and found this is Islamically acceptable and health-wise much safer for the kids.  In shaa Allah things will get back to normal soon.

Nice to know that Hali is recovering well :) She'll be back to her normal self in no time, InshaAllah.

I'm shocked at such goings on.It should absolutely not be tolerated.I don't blame "Gramps" for flaring up full blast. You did right, and I think you were brave to go through with it since they are your kinder and you love them with all you heart.Think about the positive affect it will have on your life and how you have been relieved of all the burdens of all the many baby kitty cats, now.Take a breath of relief. You have so much to look forward to in the future with your cats and it's without anguish. I'd like to add that I do think kitty porn is kind of a tabu subject in blogville.

You are such a great writer, can you tell me the rules about commas?I simply get carried away with them.

Thank you for your comments Krystal. I dont really know about the "rule" for commas...in fact, I am really bad at English "rules" it has only come from reading a lot and then using it. Im sorry :( In shaa Allah tomorrow I will look it up for you though... now I must go to bed!
